Maddie’s passion for veterinary medicine began early, volunteering at her local animal clinic at just 12 years old. After years of dedication, she earned her degree in Veterinary Technology in 2013. Maddie worked as a technician before exploring human medicine, but her love for animals brought her back to the veterinary field.

Originally from Colorado, Maddie relocated to Arizona three years ago, where she enjoys helping clients learn about pet nutrition and other aspects of care. Her family includes her husband, son, two dogs, and two cats. Growing up with horses instilled a lifelong love of animals, though she hasn’t yet returned to horseback riding as an adult.

I was born in Logan, Utah, and have lived in Arizona for most of my life. I am a recent high school and EVIT graduate, as well as an AVA (Approved Veterinary Assistant) and a CVBP (Certified Veterinary Burnout Preparedness Professional). I am currently training as a veterinary technician and look forward to becoming a full vet tech as I continue my education and experience.

My interest in veterinary medicine started because I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field. My older brother became a veterinary technician and shared many stories about the profession, which inspired me to enroll in the veterinary program at EVIT.

One of my favorite parts of the job is helping nervous pets feel safe and comfortable. I enjoy spending time with each animal and doing my best to make their visit as stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, camping, weight lifting, and rappelling. I also have five pets at home: a dog named Shadow, a cat named Maui, and three peregrine falcons. Working with animals both at home and in the clinic has only strengthened my passion for veterinary medicine.

In loving memory of our beloved clinic cat, Mo.

He came to us approximately 2.5 years ago as a stray. He was adopted out but loved us so much he came back for good! He is a silly character, very friendly and talkative and will beg for food 24 hours a day!

In loving memory of our beloved clinic cat, Ron.
