Previously owner and medical director of Apache Junction Animal Hospital, Dr. Marc Schmidt has been “the vet to East Valley pets” for over 30 years. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his DVM degree from the Ohio State University in 1978, then interned at Cornell University. He even “toured” the country with Borden’s famous Elsie the Cow.
Originally working as a large animal veterinarian, Dr. Schmidt joined a veterinary practice in California in 1979 before coming to Arizona in 1980. While currently his practice is limited to dogs and cats, Dr. Schmidt has always had an interest in reptiles especially snakes.
