Dr. Kelly Bowers

Dr. Kelly Bowers was born and raised in Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology at Northern Arizona University and her DVM degree from Washington State in 2007. Prior to graduation from veterinary school, she worked as a volunteer, and later was hired as a veterinary assistant at a local animal emergency clinic.

She has an interest in canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ultrasound technology.

Pets: Too many cats including Willow, Katy, Kirra, Spike, Mr. T, (for Trouble) and Jasmine

Dr. Marc Schmidt

Previously owner and medical director of Apache Junction Animal Hospital, Dr. Marc Schmidt has been “the vet to East Valley pets” for over 30 years. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his DVM degree from the Ohio State University in 1978, then interned at Cornell University. He even “toured” the country with Borden’s famous Elsie the Cow.

Originally working as a large animal veterinarian, Dr. Schmidt joined a veterinary practice in California in 1979 before coming to Arizona in 1980. While currently his practice is limited to dogs and cats, Dr. Schmidt has always had an interest in reptiles especially snakes.

Pets: Foxy, the Long Hair Chihuahua Mix; Chuckles, the Quaker Parrot, and Clum the California King Snake
